Quinnipiac at Manhattan – 1/1/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Quinnipiac Bobcats and Manhattan Jaspers face off on Sunday in a college basketball showdown at the Draddy Gymnasium. When these two teams faced off in February it was Manhattan that secured 83-66 victory. 

Quinnipiac comes into this game with a 9-5 record overall and they have gone 6-6-1 against the spread. In the last game against Siena, the defense was a major issue giving up 83 points and that led to the defeat. Ike Nweke had a big game finishing with 21 points and seven rebounds. Quinnipiac is averaging 72.6 points while their defense is giving up 68.4 points per game. Ike Nweke is averaging 11.8 points while shooting 54 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this Manhattan who sits with a 4-8 record and they have gone 7-4 against the spread. In the last game against Saint Peter’s, Manhattan only scored 57 points and they lost by 10 points. The offense at times has been inconsistent, and they need a better game scoring here. Samir Stewart finished 11 points and Josh Roberts finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Manhattan is averaging 70 points while their defense is giving up 72.9 points per game. One issue for this team is they have issues rebounding. Guard Ant Nelson is averaging 16.1 points while shooting 38.1 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from behind the three point line.
