The Purdue Boilermakers (1-1, 0-0 Big Ten) will try to pick up their first road win when they face the Syracuse Orange (2-0, 0-0 ACC) on Saturday afternoon.

The Boilermakers are coming off a 56-0 win over Indiana State as 37-point favorites. The Orange are coming off a 48-14 win over UConn as 24-point favorites.

Purdue won the lone meeting between the two teams 51-0 in 2004.

The Boilermakers bounced back from their loss to Penn State with a shutout win over Indiana State in their last game. They will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Orange, which will give them their second win in a row and their first road win of the season.

Purdue has played well offensively so far, averaging 43.5 points per game through their first two games. They are throwing for 327 yards and rushing for 146.5 yards per game.

Aidan O'Connell was nearly perfect in their last game, completing 89 percent of his passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns. Devin Mockobee had 13 carries for 78 yards and one touchdown, while Charlie Jones was unstoppable with nine catches for 133 yards and three touchdowns.

Purdue did a great job defensively in their last game, keeping the Sycamores off the scoreboard. They are giving up 17.5 points per gam e for the season. They haven’t played well against the pass and will need to generate some pressure and make sure they don’t give Shrader a lot of time in the pocket if they want to win this game.
