The Purdue Boilermakers and Wisconsin Badgers face off on Saturday in a Big Ten college football showdown at Camp Randall Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2021 it was Wisconsin that secured the 30-13 victory.
Purdue comes into this game with a 5-2 record overall and they are coming off another win in the last game. Purdue scored 43 points against the Nebraska Cornhuskers and that led to the six-point victory. Aidan O’Connell completed 35 of his 54 passes for 391 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Devin Mockobee also rushed 30 times for 178 yards and a touchdown. Purdue is averaging 34 points while their defense is giving up 24.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 40th in the league and they need the offense to get going here.
On the other side of this matchup is the Wisconsin Badgers who have been one of the most disappointing teams in all of college football. The Badgers sit with a 3-4 record overall and in the last game they were defeated in overtime by the Michigan State Spartans. Quarterback Graham Mertz completed 14 of his 25 passes for 131 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Wisconsin is averaging 31.3 points while their defense is giving up 21.6 points per game. In this game, the defense is going to need to be good to take off some of the pressure of the offense.
