It's a great matchup in the Big East as the 20th ranked Marquette Golden Eagles host the 22nd ranked Providence Friars. Marquette is 14-5 overall and 6-2 in the Big East while Providence is 14-4 overall and 6-1 in the Big East. Providence beat Marquette 103-98 at Providence in their first meeting of the season back in December. Tipoff is 9:00 p.m. EST at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

The Providence Friars vaulted into the AP top 25 on the strength of a 9 game winning streak but they had that streak snapped on Saturday, as they lost 73-67 at Creighton. Providence had a rough night from the floor, shooting just 38% from the floor and 21% from three.

Bryce Hopkins had a double double to lead Providence with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Devin Carter had 13 points and 6 rebounds. Noah Locke added 10 points while Ed Croswell had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Hopkins leads the team with 16.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Providence averages 79.2 points per game and is ranked 59th in defensive efficiency.
