Alex Pereira (9-2) captured the vacant UFC light heavyweight title and maximized his UFC odds after scoring a second-round TKO of former champion Jiri Prochazka (29-4-1) in the main event of UFC 295. The Brazilian caught the Czechian with a left hook counter that floored him. From there, he pounded away with multiple elbow strikes to end the match.
