The Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks face off on Saturday in an NHL showdown at the United Center. When these two teams faced off on December 21st it was the Predators that secured the 4-2 victory. 

Nashville comes into this game with a 30-23-6 record and they have gone 14-12-3 away from home. In the last game against the Florida Panthers, the Predators defense gave up only a goal and that led to the one goal victory. Nashville is averaging 2.86 goals while their defense is giving up 2.95 goals per game. The offense is ranked 25th in the league while the defense is ranked 12th. Roman Josi is having a strong season scoring 17 goals and adding 39 assists. Filip Forsberg is dealing an upper body injury and won’t be able to go in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Blackhawks who sit with a 21-35-5 record and they have gone 12-17-3 against the spread. The Blackhawks were sellers at the deadline, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get better anytime soon. On Thursday against the Dallas Stars, the Blackhawks scored only two goals and the defense gave up five on the way to the defeat. The Blackhawks are averaging 2.46 goals while their defense is giving up 3.61 goals per game. The offense is ranked 32nd while the defense is ranked 27th. Jonathan Toews is dealing with an illness and he will be out for this game.
