Portland Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-30-2022

Portland Trail Blazers (11-9) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7-12)

The Portland Trail Blazers head to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, on the last day of November to face off against the Los Angeles Lakers. These two Western Conference foes meet for the second time this season, and the Trail Blazers outlasted the Lakers 106-104 as 4-point road underdogs on October 23.

Portland is missing Damian Lillard (calf) and Gary Payton II (conditioning). On the other side, the Lakers are coming in full strength.

Tuesday night’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 11-9 Portland Trail Blazers hosted the Los Angeles Clippers as 3.5-point favorites. They were looking to bounce back from Sunday’s 111-97 defeat at the Brooklyn Nets, as the Trail Blazers wrapped up a four-game road trip with a 1-3 SU record. Portland scored just 17 fourth-quarter points at Barclays Center, allowing the Nets to pull off late in the game.

Jerami Grant led the way for the Blazers in Brooklyn, finishing with 29 points and five assists. Anfernee Simons went 4-for-14 from the field (4-for-10 from deep), accounting for 15 points and six assists, while Jusuf Nurkic had 17 points, 14 rebounds, and four dishes.

“Tough little stretch that we're in right now,” Portland coach Chauncey Billups said. “It is what it is. Every team goes through it.”

The Trail Blazers have dropped five of their previous six contests overall and are 2-5 ATS in their last seven showings at any location. Portland is scoring 112.6 points per 100 possessions (tied-14th in the NBA), and in two of their last three outings, the Trail Blazers have failed to hit a 100-point mark. They rank 21st in the league in points allowed per 100 possessions (113.3) and 18th in opposing field goal percentage (47.0%).
