Portland at San Francisco Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/23/23

The Portland Pilots will head down to the Bay to face the San Francisco Dons in WCC play from Memorial Gymnasium on the CBSSN. USF leads the all-time series, 66-29, but Portland has won the last matchups.

Portland fell to 13-16 after losing to Santa Clara at home. The Pilots were blitzed for 56 first half points by the Broncos, and they’d end up falling by 19 points, 103-84. Portland scores 76.9 points per game, while allowing 77.1 ppg and shooting 45.7% from the floor.

Portland is out of postseason contention, but they do have a chance of completing their second series sweep of the season.  The Pilots are 5-9 in WCC play, with a 2-8 road record. Junior swingman Tyler Robertson is one of the best players in the conference, and he’s posting a well-rounded line of 14.9 ppg, 5.3 rpg, and a team-lead 5.3 apg. Junior forward Moses Wood scored 20 points in the first win over USF, and he leads the Pilots in rebounding (6.1), while scoring 14.6 ppg. Junior guard Mike Meadows exploded for 39 points against Santa Clara last time out, and he’s up to 11.8 ppg.
