The Pitt Panthers had the chance to close out the season with two wins and claim the ACC regular season title outright. However, on Wednesday night, the Panthers fell at Notre Dame, 88-81. Pitt battled back from a 20-point deficit in the second half but was unable to close the deal. Nelly Cummings had 19 points, including 17 points in the second half, and Nike Sibande had 19 points as well off the bench. Blake Hinson also added his fifth double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the upset loss. Pittsburgh allowed the Irish to drill 10 3pt shots in the game.
