Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel, and Evgeni Malkin have scored 29 goals and 37 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Bryan Rust, Reilly Smith, and Lars Eller have combined for 18 goals and 18 assists while defensemen Erik Karlsson and Kris Letang have added seven goals and 22 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has stepped up but the defense hopes to turn the Penguins season around, allowing only 2.60 goals per game with only six goals in the last four games. Erik Karlsson and Marcus Pettersson have combined for 3.2 defensive point shares and 54 blocked shots while Kris Letang and Ryan Graves have combined for 2.8 defensive point shares to give the Penguins two great defensive pairings. In addition, goaltender Tristan Jarry has stepped up with a .918 save percentage and a 2.44 goals-against average on 413 shots with 6.4 goals saved above average.
