Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Super Bowl

Pittsburgh Penguins (25-16-9) vs. Los Angeles Kings (28-18-7)

The 2022-23 NHL betting action continues with a massive 14-game Saturday card, so we are taking a closer look at the cross-conference showdown from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, to get you the best Penguins vs. Kings betting pick and odds.

Pittsburgh and Los Angeles lock horns for the second and final time this regular season. Back in October, the Penguins dismantled the Kings 6-1 as -190 home favorites to snap their three-game skid in head-to-head matchups.

Friday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the Pittsburgh Penguins took on the lowly Anaheim Ducks to start their four-game road trip. Last Tuesday, the Pens stopped a two-game slide with a 2-1 overtime victory against the Colorado Avalanche, and Casey DeSmith was their hero with a thumping 41 saves on the night.

“Just grabbing two points when it looked like it could be zero, that’s a huge momentum builder for us,” DeSmith said

Pittsburgh overcame a one-goal deficit against the reigning NHL champs. Bryan Rust tied the game late in the third period, while Kris Letang scored the winner in overtime. The Penguins battled bravely and posted 17 hits more than the Avs, who went 0-for-4 with the man advantage.

With Tristan Jarry on the IR, Casey DeSmith has started four straight games for Pittsburgh. DeSmith improved to 7-10-4 with a 3.23 GAA and .905 save percentage on the season following that win over Colorado. It’s unknown who’ll patrol the crease Saturday in LA, and Dustin Tokarski (1-1-0; 2.67 GAA; .915 SV%) is waiting for his chance.
