Pitcher Prop Prediction 1: Jose Berrios Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-132)
It's been documented in the past the struggles of Jose Berrios on the road. His first two starts were both on the road going 0-2 with a 11.17 ERA.
It's time for a bounce back at home against the 13-0 Rays. It'll be easier said than done but Berrios has the right stuff to take this team down.
Last season at home Berrios had 89 strikeouts in 91.1 innings pitched compared to 60 strikeouts in 80.2 innings pitched on the road.
This Rays team hasn't struck out much but they haven't faced that great of starting pitching thus far. Although Berrios has struggled so far this season he does have 12 strikeouts in 9.2 innings pitched.
Get Berrios to go over 4.5 strikeouts at -132 with alternate lines to consider of 6+ Strikeouts at +168 and 7+ strikeouts at +350.
Pitcher Prop Prediction 2: Martin Perez Under 17.5 Outs (-115)
Martin Perez hasn't had much success in his career against the Astros allowing current Houston hitters to compile a .314 batting average in his career.
The oddity of that is he hasn't allowed one home run to these hitters, but also means he's allowing tons of base runners. His total outs are set at 17.5 which leads me to the under as he'll have to get through six innings of work.
I have a hard time seeing him get to that number as he hasn't hit it in his two starts this season throwing under 100 pitches in each start. Houston is top-10 in the MLB in total walks and hits so far this season as well.
Get Perez to go under 17.5 outs recorded at -115 with other bets to consider around this are Under 4.5 strikeouts (-150), Over 5.5 hits allowed (-145) and Over 1.5 walks allowed (-175).
