The 2023-24 NBA season continues Tuesday, December 19, with the Phoenix Suns squaring off against the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference showdown at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, with the tip-off at 10:00 PM ET.

The Phoenix Suns (14-12; 10-15-1 ATS) snapped a two-game skid last Sunday, outlasting the Washington Wizards 112-108 as 13-point home favorites. It was their third victory in nine games, and the Suns erased a 16-point deficit while holding the Wizards to just 19 points in the fourth quarter. 

The Suns went 7-for-31 from beyond the arc against Washington. They outrebounded the Wizards 54-44, and Jusuf Nurkic led the way with 17 boards on the night. Kevin Durant scored 28 points on 11-for-24 shooting from the field, while Devin Booker had 27 points and eight assists. 

The Suns have struggled of late and dropped to the tenth spot in the Western Conference. Bradley Beal is out indefinitely due to an ankle injury, and he’s appeared in just six games so far thi s season. The Suns will continue to lean on Durant and Booker, who combine for 58.7 points per game in 2023-24. Phoenix is 12th in the NBA in offensive efficiency (117.0 points per 100 possessions) and 18th in defensive efficiency (115.7).
