Phoenix held a 12-point lead heading into the half, but Oklahoma City cut the deficit in half at the end of the third quarter before rolling in the fourth. The Suns had a solid day shooting, hitting 15 of their 36 three-pointers (41.7%), but lost at the free-throw line, where they were 17-24 while Oklahoma City was 29-36. Devin Booker led the team with 46 points.
Phoenix has been a very good defensive team this season, fourth in points allowed per game (111.6) and sixth in opponent field-goal percentage (46.6%). However, the defense has struggled over their last five games, allowing opponents 120.8 points per game and 49.9% shooting.
