The Charlotte Hornets (20-43) will host the Phoenix Suns (33-29) on Wednesday. The Suns are 33-28-1 against the spread this season and the Horneys are 28-32-3. On January 24, the Suns beat the Hornets 128-97 in Phoenix, covering the 7.5-point spread.
The Suns are fourth in the Western Conference, currently 3.5 games behind the Kings for third and just one game ahead of the Warriors. With the addition of Kevin Durant before the trade deadline, Phoenix is the consensus betting favorite to come out of the Western Conference. Durant has yet to suit up for the Suns but is expected to debut today against Charlotte. On Sunday, Phoenix lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 104-101. Devin Booker led the Suns with 24 and eight assists in the loss., and DeAndre Ayton had 22 points and 11 rebounds.

The Suns' offense should get a boost for Durant. Currently, Phoenix is 18th in the NBA in offensive efficiency lead by Booker's 26.5 ppg, but he has missed 19 games. Durant averaged 29.7 ppg in the 39 games that he started for Brooklyn this season. Ayton is averaging 18.7 ppg and 10.1 rebounds in 53 games.
