Phillies vs Cardinals Predictions, Odds, Schedule and Probable Pitchers for NL Wild Card Round MLB Playoffs

The MLB regular season wrapped up on Wednesday and finalized its'official 2022 postseason bracket. There are 12 teams, six from each league, fighting for an opportunity to take home the World Series title.

One of the series many baseball fans have circled is a matchup between the 3-seed St. Louis Cardinals and 6-seed Philadelphia Phillies. The Cardinals are playing for something special as they hope to win yet another championship in Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols' final postseason run. Meanwhile, the Phillies look forward to a fresh start after losing eight of their final 12 games to close out the regular season.

Phillies vs Cardinals Prediction & Pick

The Phillies would have a better chance to win this series if it was taking place at home. Philadelphia is a dreadful 7-16 in its last 23 road games, only winning four of their last 14 outings away from Citizens Bank Park. On the other hand, the Cardinals are 13-6 in their last 19 home games and also averaged the seventh-most runs per game in their own stadium this season (4.84).

I do expect the Phillies to make things interesting, however, the Cardinals should emerge as the victors.

Final Series Prediction:'Cardinals win, 2-1
