The Atlanta Braves (62-41) will face the Philadelphia Phillies (55-47) on Tuesday in the opening contest of a short two-game series. Both of these clubs were off on Monday and will head into this contest on a winning streak. The season series is dead even with both teams winning five out of the 10 games. In 2021, the season series was also very competitive, with the Braves winning 10 of the 19 head-to-head games.
After dropping four out of their first five games after the All-Star break, the Phillies have now won four straight games. Philadephia will now take their 29-22 road record into Atlanta, looking to move closer to the Braves in the standings. After Sunday's action, the Phillies are third in the NL East and 9.5 games out of first.

The Phillies are sixth scoring 4.71 runs per game and seven scoring 1.3 home runs per game. Kyle Schwarber has supplied a large portion of the power, ranking second in MLB with 33 home runs in 100 games played. In 10 games against the Braves this season, Schwarber is batting just .117 (4 for 34), but three of his four hits against them have been big flies.
Tuesday looks to be a bullpen day for the Phillies, who are eighth with a 3.75 ERA as a staff. Nick Nelson (3-1, 3.94 ERA) is listed to start. Nelson has made just one start this season but pitched 48 total innings and made 26 relief appearances.
