The Flyers are having a promising season despite their offensive struggles, scoring only 2.86 goals per game with only two goals in the last two games. Travis Konecny and Joe Farabee have scored 39 goals and 43 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only five skaters have 10 goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has stepped up, allowing only 2.92 goals per game. Nick Seeler and Sean Walker have combined for 6.2 defensive point shares and 210 blocked shots while Yegor Zamula, Travis Sanheim, and Caneron York have combined for 5.8 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that goaltender Samuel Ersson steps up as he's struggled with a .898 save percentage and a 2.60 goals-against average on 597 shots with -3.5 goals saved above average.
