Philadelphia Flyers vs. Carolina Hurricanes Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-23-2022

The Philadelphia Flyers (11-15-7, 29 points, 7th Metro) will be playing their second consecutive game in as many nights on Friday when visiting the Carolina Hurricanes (20-6-6, 46 points, T-1st Metro) after playing the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. Carolina will also be playing its second game in two nights after playing against Pittsburgh on Thursday. Philadelphia defeated the Columbus Blue 5-3 in its most recent game prior to its back-to-back and has won two of the last three. Carolina defeated the New Jersey Devils in their most recent game and have won six straight. Cam Atkinson, Sean Couturier, Ryan Ellis, and Felix Sandstrom are out for Philadelphia. Sebastian Aho, Frederik Andersen, Jake Gardiner, Max Pacioretty and Ondrej Kase are out for Carolina.

The Philadelphia Flyers are scoring an average of only 2.48 goals per game which is next to last in the NHL. Philadelphia takes an average of 29.2 shots per game which is 28th and the power play for the Flyers is 29th, scoring 15.5% of the time Philadelphia has the man advantage.
