The Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers face off on Tuesday in an NHL showdown at Amalie Arena. When these two teams faced off in December of 2021 it was the Lightning that secured the 7-1 victory. 

The Lightning have played three games so far this season and they have only had one win. The Lightning beat the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the two losses were to the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins. In the last game against the Penguins the defense gave up six goals, and in the other loss, the offense only scored one goal. In the last game against the Penguins, they gave up four goals in the 3rd period. Nikita Kucherov looked good in the game finishing with two assists. Steven Stamkos also had four shots on goal, one assist, and one goal. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Philadelphia Flyers who have played two games so far this season and they have won each of the games. In the last game against the Vancouver Canucks it was a close game, but the Flyers were able to secure a 3-2 victory. At the end of the first period, the Flyers were down 2-0, but they made a comeback in the second period and scored the game-winning in the 3rd. Travis Konecny had a nice game finishing with one assist and one shot. Scott Laughton had five shots on goal and one goal. Ivan Provorav had one assist and six shots on goal. Carter Hart stopped 28 of the 30 shots that he faced.
