In the first game of a Wednesday night NHL on TNT doubleheader, the Philadelphia Flyers will visit the Florida Panthers. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Philadelphia, who rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-2 victory against Tampa Bay last night. The Flyers (3-0-0) won despite being outshot by 14 and losing 33 of 53 face offs.
Philadelphia G Carter Hart allowed two goals in the first five minutes of the second period to Steven Stamkos and finished with 36 saves. LW Noah Cates scored an unassisted goal with less than eight minutes remaining to put the Flyers ahead to stay.'

Florida came out of the gate with consecutive wins, but surrendered three goals during the third period of Monday's 5-3 road loss against Boston. The Panthers (2-1-0) lost the faceoff battle by a 39-21 margin and failed to score in five power play opportunities.
Sam Bennett knotted the score at one in the second period on assists from Matthew Tkachuk and Rudolfs Balcers. Gustav Forsling and Colin White scored in the third period for the Panthers.
