A pair of NFC teams trying to right their respective ships close out week 15 of the NFL slate on the gridiron in the Pacific Northwest. The Philadelphia Eagles are on the road as they make the trip as they take on the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Philadelphia was routed 33-13 on the road by Dallas in their previous contest last Sunday night, failing to cover as a 3.5-point underdog. Seattle was downed 28-16 on the road by San Francisco in their previous contest last Sunday, though they did cover the line as a 16.5-point underdog. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Seahawks own an 11-7 advantage and have taken the last six meetings. That includes a 23-17 road win in the most recent matchup on November 30, 2020.

Philadelphia dropped their second straight game in one-sided fashion as they were hammered by the Cowboys on the road on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles dropped to 10-3 with the defeat and fell into a tie for the NFC East lead, though the Cowboys own the top spot based on a better division record entering this week’s action. Against Dallas, Philadelphia was punched in the mouth early and never recovered as they went down in defeat. The Eagles trailed 10-0 after the opening quarter and 24-6 at the half. Philadelphia failed to score an offensive touchdown and never got closer than 11 in the second half. The Eagles were outgained 394-324 in total offense, gave up 24 first downs while picking up 17 and lost time of possession by a 36:36 to 23:24 margin. They also turned the ball over three times while recording only one takeaway, though it was a scoop-six.

For the year, the Eagles are 13th in the league in passing offense with 234.3 yards per game and 8th in rushing offense with 124.5 yards per contest. Philadelphia stands 6th in the league in scoring offense with 26.3 points per game while they are 28th in the league in scoring defense by allowing 24.7 points per contest. Jalen Hurts has completed 286 of 430 passes for 3,192 yards with 19 touchdowns against 10 interceptions while getting sacked 33 times. He is second on the team on the ground with 126 carries for 460 yards and 12 scores. D’Andre Swift leads the team on the ground with 178 carries for 822 yards plus four scores on the year. Dallas Goedert (42 receptions, 440 yards, two TD) and DeVonta Smith (69 grabs, 907 yards, six TD) are top-tier options when the Eagles g o to the air. Swift contributes 36 receptions for 208 yards and a score as a safety valve out of the backfield. Jake Elliott has hit 35 of 36 extra point attempts and 23 of 25 field goal attempts with a long of 61 this season.

The Eagles had a light injury report Friday but there are some key names to monitor through the weekend. Linebacker Zach Cunningham (knee), guard Cam Jurgens (pectoral) and cornerback Darius Slay (knee) each missed practice both Thursday and Friday. Watch for any information through the weekend leading toward kickoff.
