Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-26-2022

Philadelphia (1-2 SU, 1-3 ATS) travels up north to take on Toronto (2-2 SU, 3-1 ATS) on Wednesday night at 7:30pmET.  The Sixers are coming off their first win of the season on Oct. 24 when they beat up on Indiana 120-106 at home.

The Raptors last played on Monday, beating Miami 98-90 on the road of a back-to-back road game with the same team.

Last season, these teams met in the playoffs with Philly taking four of six games. In the regular season, Toronto to three of four and covered in all four games.

Philadelphia opened up with a major advantage by having the first four games at home. Unfortunately for Doc Rivers' squad, they lost the first three to Miami (99-90), Milwaukee (90-88) and the Spurs (114-105). On Monday, they took advantage of a young Indiana squad playing without 6-11 center Myles Turner. Isaiah Jackson started at center for the Pacers and picked up five fouls in 17 minutes. That's what happens when you have to guard a 7-1, 280-pound skilled center in Joel Ebmiid. The All-Star center dominated with 26 points and three blocks on 8-of-13 shooting, while making all nine of his free throws. James Harden led the way for Philadelphia with 29 points and 11 assists.

The Sixers shot 48% from the field and 44% from beyond the arc against an overwhelmed Pacers' squad. It's early, but Philly's offense has been efficient but slow thus far. They are shooting 46.2% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the arc, while averaging 107.5 points per game. But they are playing at the slowest pace in the league according to DunksandThrees.com (94.3).

Embiid and Harden both average 26.8 points per game, while shooting over 48% from beyond the arc. Harden also averages 9.8 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game. Guard Tyrese Maxey adds 17.3 points on 43.1% shooting. Their main issue right now is getting production from their bench as De'Anthony Melton (6.3ppg) is the top scorer off the bench. He is also questionable for this game with a thigh injury.
