Philadelphia 76ers vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-25-2023

The Phoenix Suns play host to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night in a crucial showdown from the Footprint Center. The 76ers come into this one with one of the best records in the league, while the Suns are looking to make one final push to improve their own seeding. Both teams are carrying some recent struggles into this one, which should only serve to make it even more interesting. Back in November, the 76ers came away with the win in Philadelphia, though it remains to be seen if they can make it a season sweep in this one.

Saturday's game marks the third-straight road game and sixth in seven games for Philadelphia, as the 76ers continue to try to finish the season strong. Losses in two of the last three served to halt an impressive winning streak and with the Eastern Conference standings tightening up, grabbing a win against the Suns would be an impressive feat. They have a 23-13 record in road games this season, which is one of the better marks in the NBA, and they'll be looking to build off some of the momentum created from their November win over Phoenix. Granted, that was quite some time ago, Philadelphia will need a complete performance to grab the road win in this one.

Philadelphia does have a few injuries to worry about as they keep up the road trip. Danuel House Jr. (shoulder) and Jaden McDaniels (hip) are both questionable for this one. The more pressing concern is the status of James Harden (Achilles), who also is ques tionable for Saturday night. As one of the most experienced guards in the league, his absence could prove costly.

Philadelphia has been able to get it done on both ends this season but Phoenix's defense could be one of their toughest tasks yet. The 76ers rank second in the league in three-point shooting, which has been the Suns' lone struggle on the defensive end. Even without the ability to hit the offensive glass strongly, the 76ers still have been able to put together productive offensive nights. Having the potential MVP in Joel Embiid (33.4 ppg, 10.2 rpg) certainly helped the offensive efficiency, and he should be able to dominate the paint again in this one. Even without Harden, the 76ers have plenty of depth in the backcourt and should be push the pace on the offensive end.
