Philadelphia 76ers (10-3) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (10-3) 

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers head to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves, coming off a back-to-back after their Tuesday home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Currently holding a 10-3 record, the 76ers are just a half-game behind Boston for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. 

Their recent convincing 121-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets was highlighted by Joel Embiid's impressive 32-point, 12-rebound performance.

Philadelphia 76ers emerged victorious over the Brooklyn Nets, clinching a dominating 121-99 win. The 76ers completely dominated the game defensively, holding the Nets to just 46.9% shooting from the floor. The Sixers also dished out 32 assists, forcing a total of 15 turnovers and recording 8 steals. 

Joel Embiid continued his MVP form, contributing a robust 32 points (11/24 FG), 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Tyrese Maxey also impressed with 25 points and 10 assists. De’Anthony Melton continued his scoring streak, recording double figures for the fifth consecutive game with 21 points on an efficient 8-for-10 shooting. 

“It started on defense. We got a few stops,” Embiid said. “W e were able to run in transition and then went small and we took advantage with a bunch of high-lows.”

Embiid is leading the charge for Philadelphia this season, averaging 31.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. 

As a team, the 76ers are playing great basketball on both ends of the floor, posting 120.5 ppg (4th), while defensively they are allowing 111.5 ppg (13th). They are also leading the league in fast break points with 19.0 pts, while their dominance in the paint is also respectable, as they are scoring 55.7 points underneath the basket.
