The Philadelphia 76ers will play the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday at Fiserv Forum. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Bucks are six-point spread favorites and the game total is 225.5 points. Last season, these teams split their four regular-season meetings.

Sixers: SG James Harden is out (personal).

Bucks: SF Khris Middleton (knee) and PG Cameron Payne (thigh) are questionable.

Philadelphia may not be the class of the East but it figures to remain competitive in the conference this season. The Sixers added Mo Bamba, Patrick Beverley, Danny Green, and Kelly Oubre this offseason in an effort to strengthen its core, but will James Harden's distracting presence create problems?

Philly will go as far as Joel Embiid will take them. The dynamic big man, who averaged 33.1 points and 10.2 rebounds last season, is among the most feared players in the NBA but his supporting cast needs to pick up some slack. Without Harden, this team won't make any noise in the playoffs, as Tyrese Maxey (20.3 PPG) and Tobias Harris (14.7 PPG and 5.7 RPG) aren't second and third options on a Finals-contending squad.

Last season, the 7 6ers scored 115.2 points per game (14th) on 48.7 percent shooting (6th), including 38.7 percent from three-point range (1st). Their opponents averaged 110.9 points per game (3rd) and shot 47.3 percent from the field (14th) with a 34.8 shooting percentage from long distance (5th). The Sixers ranked 27th in pace of play, per Dunks and Threes.
