Despite having the most difficult schedule amongst the playoff hopefuls in the final third of the season, the Philadelphia 76ers are playing their best basketball. The Sixers are 8-2 in their last ten and have won six straight games, including a 118-109 win at Cleveland on Wednesday night. Joel Embiid, making his own late surge for MVP consideration, finished with 36 points and 18 rebounds in the win. James Harden added 28 points and Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 23 points in a somewhat controversial win. Embiid thought he had fouled out of the game with just over four minutes left but a coach's challenge overturned the call, much to Cleveland's fans' dismay.

“I thought he flopped,” Rivers said. “I called that one right away. I didn’t even look at my (replay) guy. I thought there was a good chance they would overturn it. I didn’t think they would foul Joel out on that.”&#1 3;

The Sixers are healthy and pushing towards a top seed in the East. The Sixers are 14th in the NBA in scoring offense. They are eight in field goal percentage and first in the NBA in 3pt shooting. Defensively, the Sixers have the third best scoring defense in the NBA. Philly is 15th in opponent's field goal percentage. The Sixers are also sixth in 3pt defense in the league. Philly is eight in the NBA in turnovers but just 28th in rebounding, despite the presence of Embiid.
