The Orlando Magic play host to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Amway Center on Friday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last six games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting stopped by the lowly Hornets in a 107-101 road loss on Wednesday. Shake Milton led the team with 22 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, De’Anthony Melton added 20 points, Tobias Harris scored 19 points while Montrezl Harrell chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter to open an early 13-point lead, but they quickly lost momentum and struggled to score from that point onwards to fall just short in the end.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last nine games and they will be aiming to snap a two-game skid after getting thrashed by the Pacers in a 123-102 road loss on Monday. Franz Wagner led the team with 20 points on six of 11 shooting, Gary Harris added 18 points off the bench while Mo Bamba chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Magic shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they managed just 17 points in the second quarter to fall behind by nine points going into halftime and things only got worse in the third quarter where the Pacers went on another run to put them behind by 25 points.
