The Penn State Nittany Lions are on the road as they make the trip to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers Sunday afternoon. Penn State was walloped 80-60 on the road by #1 Purdue in their previous game Wednesday night, failing to cover the line as a 10-point underdog in that contest. Nebraska was beaten 72-56 on the road by Illinois in their previous game Tuesday night, failing to cover the line as a 14-point underdog. In the all-time series between the schools, the Nittany Lions own a 14-11 edge, including a 76-65 home win in the first matchup this season on January 21.

Penn State lost for the fifth time in eight games as they were unable to handle #1 Purdue in their last game. The Nittany Lions fell to 14-8 overall on the season and stand tied for 10th in the Big Ten with a 5-6 conference mark. Against Purdue, Penn State trailed by as many as 12 in the first half before cutting the margin to six at intermission. The Nittany Lions scored the opening bucket of the second half to make it a four-point game before giving up a 21-2 run that left them down 56-33 with 14:28 remaining. Penn State never made a serious push after that, getting no closer than 16 the rest of the way. The Nittany Lions shot 43.4% from the field, including 11 of 29 from three-point range, and lost the rebounding battle 38-19. Seth Lundy led the way for Penn State with 18 points and six rebounds in the loss.
