The Penn State Nittany Lions will make the trip to Madison and face the Wisconsin Badgers in Big Ten play from the Kohl Center on the Big Ten Network. Wisconsin leads the all-time series, 42-11, after winning four of the last five matchups.
Penn State improved to 12-5 following a home win over Indiana. The Nittany Lions outscored the Hoosiers in both halves, and handed them a 19-point defeat. Penn State is scoring 75.4 points per game, while allowing 67.4 ppg, and shooting 46.6% from the field.
Penn State got back on track with the big win over Indiana, and they will look to capitalize on two winnable games this week. The Nittany Lions are led by the veteran trio of Jalen Pickett, Seth Lundy, and Andrew Funk. Pickett, a 6’4 guard, went for three straight 26-point performances against Iowa, Michigan, and Purdue, and he’s posting an impressive line of 17.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 7.4 apg. Lundy, a three-year starter, went for a season-high 25 points in the win over Indiana, and he’s posting career-highs in scoring (14.4) and rebounding (6.6). Funk, a Bucknell transfer, scored 20 points in both wins over Illinois and Iowa, and matched Lundy’s energy with 23 points against the Hoosiers to bring his scoring average to 12.2 ppg.
