Penn State at Clemson – 11/29/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Penn State Nittany Lions and Clemson Tigers face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown at Littlejohn Coliseum. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent years. 

Penn State comes into this game with a 6-1 record overall and they have gone 5-1-1 against the spread. In the last game against Lafayette the defense locked down giving up only 57 points, and that led to 13 point victory. Two games ago against Colorado State the defense gave up only 56 points. Penn State is averaging 74.4 points while their defense is giving up 62.4 points per game. Guard Jalen Pickett has been the top player for Penn State averaging 15.1 points while shooting 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the three-point line. There are three different players that are averaging at least 10 points per game. 

On the other side of this matchup is Clemson who sits with a 5-2 record and they have gone 2-5 against the spread. In the last game against California, Clemson scored 67 points, and that led to the eight-point victory. Two games ago against Iowa, Clemson was competitive but ended up losing 74-71. Clemson is averaging 72.1 points while their defense is giving up 62.7 points per game. Guard Chase Hunter has been the top player for Clemson averaging 16.6 points while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 60 percent from behind the three point line.
