The Pacific Tigers will take on the San Francisco Dons in the second round of the West Coast Conference Tournament on Friday at Orleans Arena. Tip-off from Las Vegas is at 8:30 p.m. PT.

Pacific (15-17 SU, 15-15 ATS) defeated Pepperdine in the first round of the WCC Tournament. The Tigers are 2-3 straight-up in their past five games.

San Francisco (18-13 SU, 14-16 ATS) had a first-round bye. The Dons lost to BYU in their regular-season finale and were 3-2 straight-up in their last five games. 

The Dons beat the Tigers twice this season: 78-57 on January 19 and 76- 68 on February 16. 

USF shot 53.6 percent from the field in the first matchup and held Pacific to 30.5 percent, including 5-for-21 (23.8%) from three-point distance. The Dons had a +8 rebounding margin. They led by as many as 31 points and never trailed. Pacific outshot San Francisco in the latest meeting but was outrebounded 39-23, giving up 16 offensive rebounds.

The Dons are 57-28 all-time versus the Tigers.

Pacific defeated Pepperdine 84-71 in the first round of the WCC Tournament. The Tigers led 44-31 at halftime and held off the Waves in the second half. They shot 52.4 percent from the field, including 10-for-20 from long distance. Pacific held its own on the boards and committed four fewer turnovers than Pepperdine.

Junior guard Keylan Boone led Pacific in scoring this season. He averaged 13.4 points on 46.1 percent shooting. Other players to watch when the Tigers take the floor are sophomore guard Jordan Ivy-Curry (10.4 PPG), senior guard Luke Avdalovic (9.9 PPG and 51.2 3PT%), and sophomore guard Tyler Beard (9.0 PPG and 43.4 3PT%).

The Tigers scored 76.0 points per game (80th) and shot 45.1 percent from the field (167th), including 39.3 percent from three-point range (9th), this season. They converted 72.2 percent of their free throws (156th) and averaged 27.9 rebounds (348th) per game with a -5.7 rebounding margin. Pacific was 112th in schedule-adjusted offensive efficiency and 76th in effective field goal percentage (52.6%).

The Tigers surrendered 77.9 points per game (351st), and their opponents shot 46.7 percent from the field (332nd), including 35.4 percent from long distance (284th). They were 277th in adjusted defensive efficiency, 137th in assist-per-turnover ratio, and 57th in adjusted tempo.
