Ottawa Senators (6-10-1) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (14-4-1)
The 2022-23 NHL betting action continues Wednesday with this interconference battle when Ottawa Senators travel to take on the Vegas Golden Knights at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This is the first of a three-game homestand for the red-hot Golden Knights who defeated the Vancouver Canucks on Monday, 5-4. Ottawa lost to the San Jose Sharks on Monday, 5-1. This was the first of a four-game road trip for the Senators. The Golden Knights defeated the Senators on November 3 in Ottawa, 5-4.
The Ottawa Senators (6-11-1, 10-8 ATS) found themselves tied after one in San Jose, but a three-goal second period by the Sharks doomed Ottawa in a 5-1 loss. That was the first of a four-game road trip as the Senators move on to Anaheim on Friday before taking on Los Angeles on Sunday. Ottawa is 1-4-1 on the road and are 2-7-1 in their last 10.
“We played really good in the first period, and then we needed to expect that they were going to push back,” Ottawa defenseman Nick Holden said. “All teams are all going to push back on you, so you need to be able to play inside of that as well and weather it a little bit and then get back on them.”

The second period continues to be trouble for the Senators this season, as they are a -8 in the frame. Tim Stützle had the lone goal for the Senators, his seventh of the season. Cam Talbot gave up three goals on just seven shots before his evening was over. He is continuing to work himself back into the lineup, appearing in just seven games this season with a 2.79 GAA. Ottawa is 26th in goals allowed per game (3.56).
