The Orlando Magic are on the road as they make the trip to face the Washington Wizards Saturday night. Orlando was in action at home against New Orleans Friday night. The Magic fell 119-116 on the road against Denver Sunday in their previous contest, though they covered the line as an 11-point underdog. Washington knocked off the Knicks 116-105 on the road in their previous game Wednesday night, winning outright as a 5.5-point underdog. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Magic own a 73-59 advantage but the Wizards have won six straight meetings. That includes a 119-100 road win in the first meeting this season on December 30, 2022.

The Magic entered Friday night fourth in the Southeast Division, eight games behind the Heat for the top spot. In the East, the team was 13th, 17 games behind Boston for the top spot and eight games behind the Heat for the final guaranteed playoff spot. They were 4.5 games behind the Bulls for the final spot in the play-in tournament. Orlando is just 1-7 in the second game of back-to-back situations with a -6.7-ppg scoring margin (111.6 ppg for, 118.3 ppg against) on the year. The Magic are 6-16 on the road with a -5.7-ppg scoring differential (107.1 ppg for, 112.8 ppg against) this season. Orlando is 7-18 against teams from the East with a -5.9-ppg scoring margin (107.1 ppg for, 113 ppg against) for the year.

The Magic enter this game 27th in the league in scoring offense as they average 110.5 points per game on the season. Orlando is 19th in the league in rebounding with 42.9 rebounds per contest while they are 27th in assists by dishing 22.3 dimes a night. The Magic is 28th in the league in threes per game as they hit 10.7 triples a night while they are 23rd in three-point shooting by hitting 34.3% from beyond the arc.

Jonathan Isaac (hamstring) remains out with no timetable for return at this point. He is expected to play a game or two in the G League before returning to the team. Okeke (ankle) hasn’t played since November 21 and had arthroscopic surgery. They are expected to be out until sometime in late January at best. Watch for updates heading into the contest.
