The Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers collide at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Orlando Magic will be aiming to put an end to an ugly four-game slide after coming up short against the Knicks in a 115-102 road loss on Monday. Paolo Banchero led the team in scoring with 21 points, Bol Bol added 19 points on eight of 10 shooting off the bench while Wendell Carter Jr. tallied 17 points with 11 rebounds. As a team, the Magic shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 35 from the 3-point line which was still good enough to hang in the contest until late in the third quarter where the Knicks went on a decisive 13-3 run to pull away in the end.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be looking for a third straight victory after outlasting the Wizards in a 117-107 overtime win on Sunday. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 37 points on 12 of 29 shooting, Cedi Osman added 16 points off the bench while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 42 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and led by as many as 15 points, before having to make another run in overtime after their lead fizzled away in the fourth quarter.
