The Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bulls duke it out at the United Center on Friday night.
The Orlando Magic have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last nine games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in a 126-108 loss on Wednesday. Bol Bol led the way with 26 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, Jalen Suggs added 23 points with six assists while Franz Wagner chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Magic shot 45 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line but they got off to another terrible start and were never really in the contest after falling behind by 74-49 going into halftime.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a real slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting routed by the Pelicans in a 124-110 road loss on Wednesday. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 28 points and seven assists on 11 of 17 shooting, Zach LaVine added 25 points with five assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Bulls shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to hang with the Pelicans in the first half, but they had no answer for the Pelicans in the third quarter where they allowed 37 points to fall behind big.
