Oregon vs. Colorado Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-5-2022

This Saturday, the (7-1) Oregon Ducks will travel to Boulder, CO to take on the (1-7) Colorado Buffaloes. Kickoff will be at 3:30 PM EST inside Folsom Field. Oregon has dominated this series in recent years, as they defeated the Buffs in 2021 and 2019. They will now look to make it three in a row on the road.

The Oregon Ducks are coming into this one after defeating Cal, 42-24. The Ducks looked great on both sides of the ball, as they continued to put up points. They also gave up 74 rushing yards, as they showed that it isn't easy to move the ball against their defense.

The Colorado Buffaloes are entering this one after falling to Arizona State, 42-34. The Buffs finally put up some points and they covered that spread, as their offense has continued to struggle this season. They will have to consistently put points in this one if they want to hang with the Ducks for 60 minutes.

The Oregon Ducks currently sit in first place in the Pac-12, as they are (5-0) inside the conference this season. They will now be looking for their sixth conference win on the road against the Buffs. On offense, Oregon is scoring 42.4 points per game and they are averaging 525.8 total yards. This is the fifth most points scored per game and the third most yards. They have shown that they can consistently move the ball through the air or on the ground. The Ducks are currently throwing for 290 yards per game, which is the 23rd most in the country. Bo Nix will start at quarterback, as he has thrown 20 touchdowns this season and only six interceptions. He will get the ball to Troy Franklin, as he has recorded 595 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season. He is also averaging 15.7 yards per catch, as he has been a downfield threat. The Ducks are also running for 235.8 yards per game, as well. This is the ninth most in the country, as the y have continued to gash their opponents on the ground. Bucky Irving is the Ducks leading rusher this season, as he has recorded 568 yards and two touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the field, the Ducks have been very difficult to score on. They are allowing 28.4 points per game and 386.3 yards, as this is the 81st most points surrendered per game and the 76th most yards. Their front seven continues to be the strongest part of their defense, as they are only allowing 106 rushing yards per game. This is the 15th least in the country, as they continue to rally toward the ball and tackle on first contact. Last week, they held Cal to 74 rushing yards. The Ducks are also surrendering 280.3 passing yards per game, which is the 119th most in the country. Bennett Williams leads this defense, as the senior defensive back has recorded 38 tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles this season.
