Oregon Ducks (10-8) vs. California Golden Bears (3-15)

The 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season goes on Wednesday, January 18, with the Oregon Ducks squaring off against the California Golden Bears in the Pac-12 Conference showdown at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, California. 

The Ducks meet the Golden Bears for the first time this season, and the tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET. California opens as a 7-point home underdog, while the totals sit at 131.0 points. 

The Oregon Ducks (10-8; 9-9 ATS; 4-3 conf.) have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the country all season long. Just take a look at their last six contests – a five-point home loss to Utah Valley, a nine-point home win over Oregon State, a 27-point defeat at Colorado, a ten-point victory at Utah, a 17-point home loss against Arizona State, and a 19-point home win over No. 9 Arizona. 

Last Saturday, the Ducks dismantled the Wildcats as 4.5-point underdogs. Oregon outscored Arizona 44-31 in the second half and fully deserved a huge victory. The Ducks made 53.1% of their field goals, while senior guard Jermaine Couisnard led the way with 27 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field. Senior center N’Faly Dante posted a double-double of 22 points and t en rebounds, and senior guard Will Richardson added 14 points, five assists, and four steals. 

Oregon is No. 68 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 65 in the KenPom rankings. The Ducks score 110.6 points per 100 possessions (62nd in the nation) on 54.2% shooting from inside the arc (58th) and 29.7% from beyond the 3-point line (336th). They allow 98.1 points in return (71st), and the Ducks’ defense ranks 81st in field goal percentage (41.2%) and 24th in blocks per game (5.2).
