Oregon is 2nd in the Pac-12, and Oregon State is in 4th. Oregon State just missed their chance of a high profile win, losing to #5 Washington 22-20 in the pouring rain as 1.5-point home favorites. Oregon just destroyed Arizona State 49-13, covering the spread as 21.5-point road favorites. The Ducks are currently listed as 13.5-point home favorites. Oregon State had a great opportunity to upset the #5 team in the nation when Washington came to their home field. The conditions were ripe for an upset, it was a torrential downpour, which limited Washington's air attack. Ultimately the Beavers could not get it done, and lost by only two to the Huskies. Washington locked in their spot for the Pac-12 championship, while Oregon State is hoping to improve their bowl game.
DJ Uiagalelei leads the Beaver offense and averages 219.8 passing yards per game with a 20-6 TD-INT ratio. He threw two interceptions in the rain against Washington, but did not have any INTs in the previous four games. Damien Martinez is a strong running back adding 104.3 yards per game with nine touchdowns. Martinez has run for over 100 yards in each of the last three games. Two receivers get the majority of the looks in the passing game, 5'10 Silas Bolden averages 60.2 yard s per game with four touchdowns, and 5'8 Anthony Gould adds another 57.5 yards per game with two touchdowns.
Oregon State ranks 4th in the Pac-12 in scoring with 36.3 points per game, and their defense ranks 5th by allowing just 20.6 points per. Linebacker Easton Mascarenas-Arnold leads the team with 95 tackles, and fellow linebacker Andrew Chatfield Jr. leads he team in sacks with nine. Five different players each have two interceptions for the defense. The defense has 19 takeaways over 11 games.
