Ole Miss was drubbed 84-62 on the road by #7 Alabama in their most recent contest, failing to cover as an 11-point underdog Tuesday night. Mississippi State was pulverized 87-53 on the road by #8 Tennessee in their previous game Tuesday night, failing to cover the line as a 10-point underdog. In the all-time series between the teams, the Bulldogs own an 81-68 advantage, including a 78-60 home win in the most recent matchup on January 22, 2022.

Ole Miss dropped their third straight, their fourth in the last five games and their sixth in the last eight contests as they were pounded by #7 Alabama Tuesday night. The Rebels dropped to 8-6 overall and stand 0-2 in conference play with the loss. Against Alabama, Ole Miss was within two just over eight minutes into the game before getting outscored 30-11 the rest of the half to trail 44-23 at intermission. The Rebels were down as many as 27 in the second half en route to the one-sided loss. Ole Miss shot just 34.8% from the field, including a putrid two of 24 showing from beyond the arc, negating their 48-39 advantage on the glass. Jaemyn Brakefield led the Rebels with 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

The Rebels are averaging 68.6 points per contest on the year, which puts them 265th in the nation in scoring offense.
