Ole Miss vs. Arkansas Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-19-2022

The Ole Miss Rebels (8-2, 4-5-1 ATS, 5-5 O/U) battle the Arkansas Razorbacks (5-5, 5-5 ATS, 6-3 O/U) in an SEC showdown on Saturday night. The Rebels were dealt a home loss by #3 Alabama last week. The Razorbacks were charged with a home defeat by LSU in their previous action. It was Ole Miss recording a wild 52-51 home win against Arkansas last year.

The Ole Miss Rebels enter this one as a loser of two out of their last three games. They lost to LSU, posted a road win against Texas A&M, and followed with a 30-24 home loss against Alabama last week in a bout that had the Rebels as 10.5-point dogs. The offense has cooled down recently against strong defensive foes but is in good shape, standing 4-2, good for 3rd in the SEC West. The Rebels have covered in just one out of their last four games.

Jaxson Dart has been solid recently. The sophomore QB has posted four TDs with no picks in his last two games and collected 212 passing yards against Alabama last week. Dart now has 2123 passing yards accompanied by a 15:7 TD to INT ratio on the season.

Arkansas prefers to run propelled by the potent Quinshon Judkins. The freshman RB is one of the best, amassing at least 100 y ards in all but three games this season, and now has accumulated 1171 rushing yards on 5.7 yards per carry. The receiving core has two players with at least 500 yards led by Jonathan Mingo. The senior WR had 59 receiving yards against Alabama last week and is up to 723 receiving yards. The Ole Miss offense has scored an average of 25 points in their last three clashes.

The Rebels' defense isn’t as good as the offense and has been subpar in SEC play. They have allowed at least 30 points in three out of their last four bouts but did manage to hold Alabama to only 317 total yards. Ole Miss dipped three spots to #14 in this week's AP Top 25. The pass defense ranks 61st while the rush defense is 74th. Ole Miss is scoring an average of 36.1 points, landing them 19th. They are conceding an average of 22.4 points, good for 40th in the FBS.
