Ole Miss at Alabama – 1/3/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Ole Miss Rebels will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in SEC play from the Coleman Coliseum on SEC Network. Alabama leads the all-time series 27-20 after winning the last five meetings.

Ole Miss fell to 8-5 after losing to Tennessee in Oxford. The Rebels gave the top-ten ranked Vols some trouble at home,  but they failed to on to a halftime lead, and lost by four. Ole Miss is scoring 69.2 points per game, while allowing 63.5 ppg, and shooting 44.1% from the floor.

Ole Miss has been able to lean on their defensive prowess so far, but the offense has to come along if they want to survive in SEC play. Matthew Murrell is the lone double-digit scorer, and after back-to-back 21-point showings against TCU & UCF, he leads the Rebels in scoring at 14.8 ppg. Jaemyn Brakefield went for a season-high 18 points against the Vols, and he’s up to 8.5 ppg and 4.9 rpg. Senior forward Myles Burns leads the team in rebounding (6.8), while scoring 7.2 ppg.
