Oklahoma visits Texas Tech on the heels of a big win over their rival Oklahoma State. The Red Raiders are coming off of an ugly win over Iowa State as they continue to have a solid season. Bragging rights is on the line as both teams are out of the Big 12 Championship race. The kick off between them is slated for 7:30 P.M. EST.

After losing two straight games, Oklahoma was desperate to secure a win and gain bowl eligibility. The added kicker was that their next opponent was against hated-rival Oklahoma State at home. “A lot was at stake. Winning the state championship, incredibly important to us — one of our team goals for the season. Having a chance to hand out a trophy, a lot is on the line. You're playing for, again, a trophy. Who knows how many more times, if at all, we'll play. I haven't seen any of the schedules for next year yet with new teams coming in. So having that trophy right now means a lot to these players,” head coach Brent Venables said following the win.

Although it has been a struggle of a season, Oklahoma’s offense has done well in the statistical category. The Sooners are averaging 454 yards per game which r anks 22nd in the country. They have the 13th best rushing team in the nation, too. They are averaging 217 yards per game on the ground.

The defense has been poor this season as they are allowing 437 yards of total offense per game. Opposing offenses are gaining 191 yards per game on the ground which ranks 115th in the country. They are allowing 27.6 points per game which ranks 85th.
