A pair of Big 12 programs take the floor in the hallowed ground of the Allen Fieldhouse in the Sunflower State looking to earn a conference win. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are on the road as they travel to face the #8 Kansas Jayhawks Tuesday night. Oklahoma State comes in off a 70-66 home victory over West Virginia in their previous contest Saturday, covering the line as a 3.5-point favorite. Kansas was knocked off 79-75 on the road by #23 Iowa State Saturday, though they covered the line as a 4.5-point underdog in their previous contest. In the all-time series between the teams, the Jayhawks own a 108-48 advantage and have won the last six meetings. That includes a 90-66 road victory in the first meeting this season on January 16.

Oklahoma State snapped a six-game losing skid as they took down West Virginia at home in their previous contest Saturday night. The Cowboys improved to 9-11 overall and stand in the basement of the Big 12 with a 1-6 mark in conference play. Against West Virginia, Oklahoma State led by as many as seven in the first half and trailed by as many as six before trailing by one at intermission. The Cowboys led by five early in the second half and trailed by seven with 5:08 remaining in the game before regrouping. Oklahoma State took the lead for good with Javon Small’s three-pointer with 53 seconds to play as part of a game-closing 6-0 run. The Cowboys shot 40.4% from the floor, including eight of 27 from three-point range, and went 20 of 26 at the charity stripe in the win. Brandon Garrison led Oklahoma State with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals in the win.

The Cowboys are putting up an average of 71.8 points per game on the offensive end of the floor, putting them 249th in the nation in scoring offense. Oklahoma State pulls down an average of 35.4 rebounds per contest while dishing out an average of 14.7 assists a night. The Cowboys have been above average defensively, surrendering an average of 69.5 points per contest, putting them 119th in the nation in scoring defense. Oklahoma State is shooting 44.7% from the field this season. The Cowboys connect on 9.1 three- pointers a night while shooting 35.4% from beyond the arc on the year. Oklahoma State is below average at the free throw line as they convert only 67.3% of their attempts on the year, leaving them 311th in Division I.
