The Arizona State Sun Devils (1-0) visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys (1-0) at Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
The Cowboys enter the matchup after winning 58-44 over the Central Michigan Chippewas in their last outing on September 1. The Sun Devils’ most recent outing finished in a 40-3 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. Spencer Sanders threw for 406 yards, with four touchdowns and no interceptions on 28-of-41 passing (68.3%) for the Pokes in that matchup against the Chippewas. He also added 11 carries for 57 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Dominic Richardson rushed for 61 yards on nine carries (6.8 yards per carry) and one touchdown, adding one reception for eight yards. Braydon Johnson had 133 yards on six catches (22.2 per reception) with one touchdown in that game. Emory Jones’ performance for the Devils against the Lumberjacks included 13-of-18 passing for 152 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. He rushed 11 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Xazavian Valladay put together a 15-carry, 116-yard game (7.7 yards per attempt) with two touchdowns. Messiah S winson had 50 yards through the air after three catches (on three targets).
The Cowboys (-11) are big favorites against the Sun Devils. The over/under is 57.5 points.
