After averaging 138.5 points over two straight wins, the Thunder actually cooled off by scoring 'just' 122 points in a 126-122 loss at Boston. The loss was made particularly frustrating because OKC led at halftime and held a lead as much as 15 points late in the third quarter before Boston closed them out in the fourth quarter. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his all-star level play with 37 points to lead the Thunder. Lu Dort was next up with 21 points and Aleksej Pokusevski finished with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds. All five starter finished with double digit points as the Thunder shot 48% from the floor. The team's downfall was with the basketball. After just six first half turnovers, the Thunder had 14 in the second half against the Celtics' aggressive defense.

“There were a lot of bright spots. We really put it to them. We controlled the game on the road against a great team, whi ch is a credit to our guys,” coach Mark Daigneault said.

The Thunder's offense has come alive over the past four games, despite going just 2-2 in that span. They are scoring 132.8 points per game over that span while shooting 53% from the floor overall and hitting 43% from 3pt range. They have averaged over 15 3pt field goals per game over that span. Gilgeous-Alexander has been outstanding over the same span, averaging 33.8 points per game while shooting 54% overall and 50% from 3pt range. The Thunder will have to improve on the defensive end as they are now down to 23rd in the NBA in scoring defense.
