Oklahoma City Thunder at Philadelphia 76ers – 1/12/23 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Oklahoma City Thunder pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last seven games and they will be hoping to bounce back here after falling painfully short to the Heat in a 112-111 road loss on Tuesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 26 points on nine of 18 shooting, Josh Giddey racked up a triple-double of 18 points with 15 rebounds and 10 assists while Kenrich Williams chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they poured in 32 points in the third quarter to overcome an early 11-point deficit, only to lose in the final seconds as they led by two points before the Heat’s Jimmy Butler scored the game-winning free throw with just 12.2 seconds left on the clock.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their past six games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing away the Pistons in a 147-116 home win on Tuesday. Joel Embiid led the way with 36 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, James Harden tallied a triple-double of 16 points with 12 rebounds and 15 assists while Tobias Harris chipped in with 14 points on six of six shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they poured in 38 points in the second quarter to take a 22-point lead into halftime which only grew in the second half which allowed the 76ers to rest all of their starters early.
