The #24 Ohio State Buckeyes are on the road as they travel to face the Maryland Terrapins Sunday afternoon. Ohio State was upended 71-69 at home by #1 Purdue in their previous contest Thursday night, losing outright as a two-point favorite. Maryland was beaten 64-50 on the road by Rutgers in their previous game Thursday night, failing to cover as a 5.5-point underdog. In the all-time series between the two programs, each team has picked up nine victories with the Terrapins picking up a 75-60 win at home in the most recent matchup on February 27, 2022.

Ohio State gave #1 Purdue all they wanted in their last game at home but ended up falling a bucket short. The Buckeyes dropped to 10-4 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten with the loss as they look to regroup on the road in this contest. Against Purdue, Ohio State led by as many as 12 in the opening half only to get outscored 19-10 over the final 6:57 to cut the margin to three at intermission. In the second half, the Buckeyes trailed by as many as six but rallied to take a 69-66 lead with 42 seconds remaining only to let it slip away. Ohio State gave up the last five points, including the game-winning three-pointer with 12 seconds to go, to take the loss. The Buckeyes shot an even 50% from the field, including six of 14 from beyond the arc, and lost the rebounding battle 37-27 in the contest. Brice Sensabaugh paced Ohio State with 21 points in the loss. Zed Key left the game after playing just four minutes with a shoulder sprain.

On the season, Ohio State stands 34th in the nation in scoring offense as they put up an average of 80.1 points per game. The Buckeyes are 26th in the country in rebounding with an average of 39.9 boards per game and 134th as they hand out an average of 14.2 assists per game on the year. Ohio State is 78th in the nation in scoring defense as they allow only 64.9 points per contest. Zed Key is one of four players on the Buckeyes with 12.4 points plus 7.8 rebounds per contest this season. The Buckeyes knock down an average of 7.5 three-pointers a game while sinking 37.8% of their att empts from beyond the arc.
