The Oakland Golden Grizzlies (8-12, 6-13 ATS, 11-8 O/U) battle the Detroit Mercy Titans (8-12, 9-10 ATS, 11-8 O/U) in a Horizon League bout on Monday night. The Golden Grizzlies collected a road win against IUPUI last time out. Detroit also beat IUPUI in their previous action. Oakland recorded a 75-59 home victory against Detroit in the only meeting last season. 

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies are excelling in conference play. They have won six out of their last seven games propelled by a barrage of scoring. Oakland lost to Youngstown State last week and rebounded by posting an 83-77 overtime road win against IUPUI on Thursday in a bout that had Oakland marked as 11-point favorites. The Golden Grizzlies are now 6-3 in conference play. They have not covered the spread in three straight games.

Trey Townsend has posted several big performances in conference action. The sophomore forward has eclipsed 20 points in two of his last three performances including 30 against RMU and is averaging 17.1 PPG and 7.5 RPG. Jalen Moore has also been stellar, recording 20 or more in three of his last four clashes. The senior guard has increased his season average to 15.4 PPG and 5.9 APG. Keaton Hervey has scored double-digits in one of his last three bouts. The senior forward i s third in team scoring with 12.4 PPG along with 7.1 RPG. 

The Golden Grizzlies are ranked 274th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 3-6 on the road this season including a victory against Northern Kentucky and Wright State. Oakland has reached 80 points three times in conference play and is scoring an average of 72.9 points on the season, marking them 154th.
