The Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels face off on Wednesday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium. In the first game of this series, it was the Angels that were able to secure the 3-1 victory.
The A’s come into this game with a 39-66 record overall and they have lost three games in a row. Over the last three games, the offense has scored only four runs total, and they need to find a way to get the offense going. The A’s overall is averaging 3.41 runs per game which is 29th in the league. Seth Brown has hit 15 home runs and driven in 44 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Angels who currently sit with a 44-59 record overall. The Angels were sellers at the trade deadline, but they were still able to win on Tuesday night because of the pitching. The Angels offense is averaging 3.9 runs per game which is 25th in the league. Shohei Ohtani has hit 22 home runs and driven in 62 RBIs. Scoring only three runs was playing with fire, and they need to give Ohtani some run support here.
